You know what sway bars, lockers and articulation is but not really experience with how to use them. You find yourself looking at pictures of others doing trails and thinking you would like to do that but not confident to go on? This class is for you as we start the class off by disconnecting, performing articulation, trail navigation and climbs/descents! This is all done with professional spotters and in a safe environment. At the completion of this class, you will have a solid foundation and confidence to take your rig off road and know where you can go. Don’t miss out to gain the next level of confidence in you and your rig!

Description
Offroading101 @ BVORR
Level 201
The class is limited to 8 participants to maximize the amount of personal time each person gets and minimize the amount of time that we spend on each obstacle. Attendees are encouraged to ask questions, watch the other drivers and learn how your rig works with the obstacles you will be conquering. Each obstacle builds on the last one creating a confidence in your rig and most importantly, yourself. The cost of the class is per rig and driver.
Price includes entrance fees to the park. This would be a great time to bring someone that wants to get started instead of just riding along. Guests that accompany the driver do not incur additional costs.
The class is for stock rigs and designed to pick up right where the 101 course left off. We will begin with a bit of classroom time talking about the safety gear that you should consider carrying in your rig, The obstacles and difficulty level have increased, will push your personal limits and will still be exciting/challenging. We then proceed by disconnecting sway bars, airing down and climbing some tires to get the feel. You will learn even more about your rig as we hit a larger degree of climbs, leans, descents and play in an area that we call “The Playground” and by the end of the class you will have plenty of experience with maneuvering your rig around tight turns and leans. You will have a much better understanding of how to use your rig off road and be ready to start to tackle new trails!
The things that we will cover in class include, but are not limited to the following items: Swaybar usage, articulation, line placing/picking, recovery gear in more detail and how to use, planning for failure, air compressors, tread lightly, trail etiquette, flexing, breakover/departure angles, recovery using winches/straps, leadership, bumping, momentum, hill climb/descent, using transmission for climb/descent, hill descent, blind climb/drop, maneuverability, articulation, tire placement, finesse, suspension, shocks, slides and seat time. This is also the class that will test the build of your rig and help identify any weak areas.
Classes will start at sharply at 9:30am and run until 4pm (give or take). After class we will be around to discuss the class, how things went, what you learned and help get you aired up and sway bars connected for a safe ride home.
Price includes entrance fees to the park and extra riders are no additional charge.
