You should have taken the 101, 201 and 301 or equivalent before taking this class.
This is a spotters class where you will learn how to look at a rig, the obstacle and the surroundings to plot a safe path for the rig to take. You will learn what to watch for, see the line and how to communicate to the driver behind the wheel to safely navigate the obstacle. This will not be a day of trail riding but a day of learning how to conquer obstacles safely. Use these sills to help fill your off road tool box to promote a safer and more enjoyable adventure.
Attendees are encouraged to ask questions, watch the other drivers and learn how your rig works with the obstacles you will be conquering. We strongly suggest that you bring any recovery gear that you have as we may have to use them to get thru the trail. We will make every attempt to ensure that there is little to no damage to your rig but every time you go off road, you run this risk. The cost of the class is per rig and driver (does NOT include entrance fee to the park). Guests that accompany the driver do not incur additional offroading101 costs.

Level spotters
This is a spotters class where we will take you and the class thru trails where you will learn how to safely spot a driver over obstacles. We will share what to look for when guiding a rig over an obstacle and how to speak to the driver in a calm and strong way to promote calm and confidence. Being on the other side of the wheel is a completely different responsibility where you will be able to see all the things that the driver will not. You will learn how to start, track and project where the rig will end up and how small changes can result in large movements. You will see how each vehicle can take different lines depending on the lift, tire, etc that are on the rig. This will not be a day of running the trail but a day of getting experience at as many obstacles as possible while having the driver become the spotter and direct others over the obstacle.

Price does NOT include entrance fees to the Hidden Falls park. This would be a great time to bring someone that wants to get started instead of just riding along.
This course will push you out of your normal comfort zone but you will end up with a better understanding of what your rig can do and what modifications you may want to start looking at. We only ask that the driver of the rig be a licensed driver, show up with some enthusiasm and cheer others on as you begin to build your skill set and enhance your new understanding as you tackle the trails!
Classes will start at sharply at 9 am and run until 5pm or we call it quits. After class I will be around to discuss the class and how things went and what you learned. It will be a opportunity for a detailed discussion about what you learned and for all the new questions that come up.
There will be traildogs for lunch and there is a food truck on site to get what you would like.
It is strongly suggested that you have completed the 101, 201 and 301 classes before taking this class. It will not be a class for the beginning off roader.
