So I decided to upgrade the steering stabilizer on my 2017 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. After looking at all the options out there and considering the amount of wheeling that I do, I decided upon the Falcon Nexus adjustable stabilizer. Why adjustable? I wanted something that would allow me to set it to soft when I am wheeling, medium when I am driving around town and firm when I hit the highway for long trips. Having the options allow me to customize the settings allowing me to quickly configure for the comfort level that I want. I tested this on the road and hit every pothole and curb that I could and I can say that I am extremely pleased with the handling. There was very little movement of the steering wheel as I hit each item at different speeds making it very easy to control. The one thing that I was not expecting was the reduction of swaying of the Jeep when driving in high winds. I am now able to drive with just a finger on the steering wheel and not both hands. After driving about 200,000 miles in a wrangler and using different stabilizers, this one was worth the upgrade monday. Installation took me about 15 minutes from start to finish while reading all the instructions.

Is this upgrade required for your rig? No it is not, as you can get less expensive options. I have gone thru many over the years priced from $30 on up and this is by far the best upgrade you can get. The lesser ones worked fine for a period of time and then had to be replaced. None of them made the steering feel tight like the Nexus.

It came securely packaged and undamaged from shipping via UPS.

As you can see from the picture below, the instructions are on the lid of the box and very easy to follow.

The mount utilizes the track bar bolt location allowing the stabilizer to set parallel with the tie rod. Since it is a pass-thru shock, it sets about in the middle of the tire rod. I did have to double check to make sure that I had the correct room for steering. That was quickly checked by turning the wheels left and right and watching for clearance then tightening the clamp.

I have only driven the Jeep with this set up for 2 weeks and I am loving this configuration and would do it again in a heartbeat! I will be posting more info on this as I use it more, both on and off road!

UPDATE 31-July-2021

I have used this for 1.5 years now and love it! I use the soft mode when wheeling offroad making it much easier to steer. I use the Medium mode for around the town driving and it works great when I hit pot holes or other things in the road. Keeps the wheels straight. I use the firm mode when I am going on long highway trips as it helps hold the steering in place with little play. Would I get another one? Yes I would!
